AutoShorts.ai vs Faceless.video: A Rate or a Balance (2026)
We make a competing tool, so read this with that in mind. We are not one of the two products being compared here, and we have kept ourselves out of it until the end. Prices are as published in July 2026.
These two get shortlisted together constantly, and they are more different than the similar entry prices suggest.
What each one costs
AutoShorts.ai
| Plan | Monthly | Posts | Series |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Marked temporarily paused | 1 |
| Starter | $19 | 3 times a week | 1 |
| Daily | $39 | Once a day | 1 |
| Hardcore | $69 | Twice a day | 1 |
Yearly billing is two months free. Auto-posts to TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram. Includes voice cloning, an edit-and-preview step, background music, HD, and no watermark.
Faceless.video
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | Credits | Social accounts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $20 | $14/mo | 30 | 1 |
| Daily | $35 | $25/mo | 60 | Unlimited |
| Double | $59 | $41/mo | 120 | Unlimited |
| Studio | $149 | n/a | 350 | Unlimited |
Annual billing saves 30 percent. Daily and above add a priority render queue. Top-up credits run $0.60 to $0.80 each depending on the pack, and unspent credits roll over month to month.
The actual difference
AutoShorts sells a rate. You buy "three times a week" or "once a day" and that is what happens. Nothing accumulates and nothing runs out.
Faceless.video sells a balance. You buy credits, spend them when you want, and whatever you do not spend is still there next month.
Everything below follows from that one distinction.
Where the pricing actually lands
The tier names line up closely enough to compare directly. Faceless.video's Daily plan and AutoShorts' Daily plan both intend one video a day.
| Posting rhythm | AutoShorts monthly | AutoShorts yearly | Faceless.video monthly | Faceless.video yearly |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Around 3 a week | $19 | $15.83/mo | $20 | $14/mo |
| Once a day | $39 | $32.50/mo | $35 | $25/mo |
| Twice a day | $69 | $57.50/mo | $59 | $41/mo |
On monthly billing the two are close. On annual billing they are not: Faceless.video's 30 percent discount beats AutoShorts' two-months-free at every tier, and the gap widens as you go up. Daily costs $25 a month against $32.50, and twice daily costs $41 against $57.50.
One caveat before you take that table as settled. Faceless.video publishes credits, not videos, and it does not publish a credit-per-video conversion, so the mapping above comes from the plan names rather than from a stated rate. Confirm what your own content actually consumes during the first month. AutoShorts has no such ambiguity, which is worth something on its own.
Where Faceless.video pulls ahead
Rollover. Almost nothing in this category does it. Every other credit-based tool is quietly counting on you underusing your plan, and an allowance you did not spend is money you set on fire. If your output is uneven, this is the single most valuable feature in the comparison.
Unlimited social accounts from $35. This is the one that gets overlooked, and at three channels it decides the whole thing. Every AutoShorts tier covers one series, so three daily channels means three subscriptions at $39, which is $117 a month. Faceless.video's Double plan at $59 covers unlimited accounts. If you are running a portfolio of channels rather than one, that is a difference of roughly half.
Top-ups without a plan change. You can buy more credits at $0.60 to $0.80 rather than jumping a tier for a busy month.
Where AutoShorts pulls ahead
Instagram. Faceless.video's own materials cover auto-posting but do not name Instagram the way AutoShorts does. If Reels is part of the plan, verify this before you buy, because it is the kind of gap that only shows up after you have paid.
Voice cloning. AutoShorts clones a voice. If you want the channel to sound like a specific person, that is the feature, and Faceless.video does not advertise it.
A review step. AutoShorts has edit-and-preview on every video. You see it before it goes out.
Predictability. You never manage a balance, never convert credits into videos in your head, and never discover mid-month that you have run out. The bill and the output are both fixed.
The Starter tier is not crippled. Faceless.video's $20 entry caps you at one social account, which is restrictive at that price. AutoShorts' $19 does not have an equivalent catch.

| Affiliate commission | 30% for life | Page is offline |
Affiliate rates are as published in August 2026 and only matter if you write about the tool you pick. AutoShorts pays 30 percent for as long as the customer stays, with no cap. Faceless.video's footer still links to an affiliate site, but the address no longer resolves. For reference, ours is 30% recurring for as long as they stay.
How to choose
Answer one question: how many videos will you publish in a slow month?
If the answer is "about the same as a busy month," rollover is worth nothing to you. You will spend the allowance every month and the feature never triggers. Buy on platforms, channel count, and price instead.
If the answer is "sometimes zero, sometimes thirty," rollover is the most valuable thing on this page and Faceless.video is the only one of the two that offers it.
Then apply the two tiebreakers:
- Need Instagram, voice cloning, or a preview step? AutoShorts, and it is not close.
- Running three or more channels? Faceless.video, and it is not close. $59 against $117 settles it.
- Just one channel, posting daily, paying annually? Faceless.video at $25 a month against $32.50.
- Just one channel and you want zero accounting? AutoShorts.
Where we fit
We build PassiveShorts, which sits closer to AutoShorts on the rate-versus-balance question and closer to Faceless.video on the multi-channel question.
$19 per series a month posts three times a week on days you choose. $39 per series a month posts once a day. Yearly charges 10 months instead of 12. Up to 10 series at once from one dashboard, each with its own topic, channel, visual style, voice, and schedule. There are no credits, so nothing rolls over and nothing runs out. Auto-posts to YouTube and TikTok, with 19 visual styles, six caption presets you can customize down to fonts, colors, outlines, animations, and word highlights, natural AI voices, and five ready-made topics plus a custom one. Publish public, private, or into your TikTok drafts. Full commercial rights, 7-day money-back guarantee.
Two honest caveats. We do not post to Instagram, so if Reels matters, AutoShorts is the better buy. And we have no preview or regenerate step, which is deliberate but is not what everyone wants.
