Revid.ai vs AutoShorts.ai: $39 or $19 for the Same Platforms (2026)

6 min read

We make a competing tool and we are not one of the two compared here. Prices are as published in July 2026.

These two overlap more than most pairs in this category: both generate faceless video and both publish to Instagram, which is rarer than it should be. The interesting part is that the cheaper one changes depending on how many channels you run.

What each one costs

Revid.ai

Plan Price Credits Auto-mode workers
Hobby $39/mo Not stated Auto-publishing not listed
Growth $39/mo 2,000 3
Ultra $199/mo 12,000 10

Growth is presented as discounted from $99 with the lower rate locked in. Publishes to TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.

AutoShorts.ai

Plan Price Posts Series
Free $0 Marked temporarily paused 1
Starter $19/mo 3 times a week 1
Daily $39/mo Once a day 1
Hardcore $69/mo Twice a day 1

Yearly billing is two months free. Publishes to TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram. Includes voice cloning, an edit-and-preview step, background music, HD, and no watermark.

Read the Revid pricing page carefully

One thing to check before anything else. Hobby and Growth are both listed at $39, but auto-publishing appears under Growth. If you are buying Revid specifically so that it posts for you, the price alone will not tell you whether you are on the right tier. Confirm it at checkout.

That is not a criticism of the product, but it is the kind of detail that turns into a refund request, and it is the most common way people end up on the wrong Revid plan.

Where the cheaper one flips

At one channel, AutoShorts is half the price. At three channels, Revid is less than half. Both statements are true and the crossover is the whole decision.

Channels, posting daily AutoShorts.ai Revid.ai
1 $39/mo $39/mo
2 $78/mo $39/mo (3 workers)
3 $117/mo $39/mo (3 workers)
5 $195/mo $199/mo (Ultra, 10 workers)

Every AutoShorts tier covers one series. Three channels means three subscriptions. Revid's Growth plan at $39 gives you three auto-mode workers, so the second and third channels are effectively free until you outgrow the credit pool.

At three posts a week rather than daily, AutoShorts Starter is $19 and Revid has no equivalent entry price, so a single low-frequency channel is where AutoShorts is clearly better value.

The caveat on the Revid side: 2,000 credits does not translate cleanly into a number of posts. The conversion depends on what you generate, so two months on the same schedule can consume different amounts. Three workers do not help if the pool runs dry in week three. AutoShorts has no such uncertainty, which is worth real money to some buyers.

Where AutoShorts wins

Entry price. $19 for three posts a week. Revid starts at $39 no matter what.

A fixed, legible rate. You buy "once a day" and that is what happens. No credits, no conversion, no month where the pool runs out early.

Voice cloning. Revid does not advertise it. If you want the channel to sound like a specific person, this is the feature.

An edit-and-preview step. You see each video before it publishes.

A clearer pricing page. No ambiguity about which tier publishes for you.

Where Revid wins

Multiple channels on one bill. Three workers at $39 against three subscriptions at $117. This is the strongest argument on the page and it is not close.

Headroom. Ultra at $199 with 12,000 credits and 10 workers goes further than AutoShorts' $69 twice-daily ceiling for a single series.

Flexibility. Credits can go wherever you want them in a given month. A fixed posting rate cannot be redirected.

Affiliate rates are as published in August 2026 and only matter if you write about the tool you pick. Both pay for as long as the customer stays, so the ten points are the whole difference. For reference, ours is 30% recurring for as long as they stay.

How to choose

One channel, three posts a week: AutoShorts at $19. Revid has nothing at that price.

One channel, daily: a genuine coin flip at $39 each. Pick AutoShorts if you want voice cloning, a preview step, or a bill that never surprises you. Pick Revid if you might add a second channel soon.

Two or more channels: Revid Growth, and the arithmetic is emphatic. Just verify the credit pool covers your real posting volume in month one, because that is the assumption the whole saving rests on.

You want to approve every video: AutoShorts. It is built around that and Revid is not.

Instagram is the reason you are here: either one works, which makes this a rare comparison where the platform question does not decide anything.

Where we fit

We build PassiveShorts, and the honest headline is that we do not post to Instagram. If Reels is part of your plan, stop here and pick one of the two above. That is the clearest reason on this page to choose either of them over us.

If YouTube and TikTok cover you, the shape of our pricing sits between the two. $19 per series a month posts three times a week on days you choose, $39 per series a month posts once a day, and yearly charges 10 months instead of 12. Up to 10 series at once from one dashboard, each with its own topic, channel, visual style, voice, and schedule, with no credit pool to divide between them and no per-series surprise at the end of the month. Nineteen visual styles, six caption presets customizable down to fonts, colors, outlines, animations, and word highlights, natural AI voices, and five ready-made topics plus a custom one. Publish public, private, or into your TikTok drafts. Full commercial rights, 7-day money-back guarantee.

Worth doing the three-channel arithmetic for yourself across all three tools before you buy any of them. It produces very different bills and it is the calculation almost nobody runs first.

Want this running without you?

PassiveShorts writes, voices, captions, and publishes faceless shorts to YouTube and TikTok on a schedule you set.
